Custodial sentence

Custodial sentence

A custodial sentence is a sentence to imprisonment.

It is served by way of home detention, corrective training, detention centre training, borstal training, or any other sentence that requires full time detention of an individual.

A custodial sentence does not include a sentence of supervision, community service, fine or reparation, periodic detention, or a suspended sentence of imprisonment.
