ACC’s Executive is made up of the senior managers from each of ACC’s business groups. The Executive meets each month and reports regularly to the ACC Board. It also liaises with the Minister for ACC, and includes preparing briefings and attending meetings.

General Manager, Claims Management – Denise Cosgrove | |

The General Manager, Claims Management is responsible for all functions in the former Operations group, including management of the branch network, claims processing, contact centres, long-term claims management, the National Serious Injury Service and the investigation unit. This role also incorporates overall management of the clinical directorate, service development and innovation functions as well as the complaints investigator and customer support service. Denise Cosgrove took up this position in March 2010 following her previous role as General Manager, People and Business Services, which she held from July 2006. |

General Manager, Corporate Services – Katie Sadleir | |

The General Manager, Corporate Services is responsible for business technologies, organisational development (including human resources, change management and business improvement), commercial services and procurement. Katie Sadleir took up this position in June 2010 and was formerly Acting General Manager from March 2010. Katie joined ACC in April 2007 as General Manager, Injury Prevention from Sport and Recreation New Zealand (SPARC), where she was General Manager, Performance. |

General Manager Scheme Performance – Peter Robertson | |

The General Manager, Scheme Performance (Chief Financial Officer) leads the development of strategy and organisational objectives, ensures the effective deployment of financial resources and capability across the organisation and, through leadership of the ACC investment team, returns that exceed market benchmarks. This role also covers risk, actuarial services and internal audit. Peter Robertson took up the position of Acting General Manager, Scheme Performance (CFO) in February 2010 and has been permanently appointed General Manager, effective 1 July 2010. He previously held a number of senior roles at Transpower, as well as chief executive roles at BRANZ and Tritec Manufacturing. Peter has also held a number of directorships in various companies. |

General Manager, Insurance and Prevention Services – Dr Keith McLea | |

The General Manager, Insurance and Prevention Services leads and manages the development of insurance products, the setting of levy rates, and ACC’s relationships with business customers. The role also leads the development and implementation of national and community-based injury prevention programmes aimed at achieving a significant reduction in injuries. Dr McLea took up this position in March 2010 following his previous roles as General Manager, ACC Insurance (formerly Levy and Scheme Management) and General Manager, Research and Corporate Services since 2006. |

General Manager, Governance, Policy and Research – Kathy Spencer | |

The General Manager, Governance, Policy and Research is responsible for the corporate secretariat and development and management of ACC’s governance structures. The role is also responsible for providing rigorous policy analysis and research to inform the core activities of ACC, managing the policy interface with the Department of Labour and the Minister for ACC, and for the legal services function. Kathy Spencer took up this role in June 2010 following her previous role as General Manager, Strategy and Governance, which she held from June 2009. Before joining ACC, Kathy held roles of Strategic Policy Director, ACC-Health Interface, and Deputy Director-General, Ministry of Health. Kathy has also worked in the New Zealand Treasury and has been chief advisor in a Minister’s office. |
