Preamble
This section collates the Earners, Non-Earners and Treatment Injury and Patient Injuries (see scheme funding for explanations of these accounts). It mirrors the Non-Work and Other categories in the Work-Related table in section 2.
Non-work related claims to Earners before the establishment of the Earners’ account in 1 July 1992 were paid from the Residual claims account. In this section these claims claims have been added.
From 1 July 1999 to 31 March 2000 self-employed people could choose a private insurer for work and non-work accidents. Non-work injuries to this group were not covered by ACC.
