Preamble
The Self-Employed Work Account, established 1 July 1999, covers injuries for self-employed people.
From 1 July 1999 to 31 March 2000 self-employed people could choose a private insurer for work and non-work accidents. About 95% of self-employed people chose to stay with ACC. Non-work injuries to this group were covered by the Earners’ Account.
