Understanding what your clients need to do and what information to provide if they are injured is important. ACC CoverPlus and ACC CoverPlus Extra have different requirements, though your client’s application will be managed the same way through our normal claim processes.
Making a claim under ACC CoverPlus
Under ACC CoverPlus your client may need to provide proof of earnings, especially if they are new to self-employment. The amount of lost earnings compensation they will be entitled to will depend on their previous year’s earnings.
Making a claim under ACC CoverPlus Extra
Under ACC CoverPlus Extra, the amount of compensation has already been agreed so there is no need to provide further evidence of earnings.
