Our focus
Our focus is with peoples from all walks of life, their world views, their lifestyles and their cultural context.
Our approach
Our approach is based on key values and principles consistent with our focus, and expressed as follows:
- Cultural diversity - characterised by multiple and different views. ‘one size isn’t going to fit all’
- Cultural context - characterised by:
- Identity (who we are, who I am) Wellbeing (what we/I believe in) Potential (what our/my capabilities and capacities are as defined by us/me).
These can be expressed in context as an individual, as a group, or as a collective acting in the greater interest of the collective.
How we prefer to do business
- Early engagement – characterised by COGs involvement early in the thinking and planning process, rather than at the consultation stage when all blue-skies thinking opportunity has all but evaporated.
- Persuasive – characterised by a two-way openness.
- Mutual respect – characterised by the development of quality relationships and the evolution of trust.
- Advocacy, persistence – characterised by the right information to the right people at the right time and purposeful feedback.
- Promote inclusiveness – characterised by improved access to services, participation, awareness of entitlements and future opportunities.
