Search tips

The following tips may help you find the information you need.

Be as specific as possible

The more words you include in your search phrase, the more likely you are to find the information you are after. For example, the phrase ‘levy direct debit form’ will provide more helpful information than ‘levy form’.

Punctuation is ignored

You do not need to include punctuation or capitalise words, as the search engine ignores all punctuation and capital letters.

Word variations are accounted for

Search results include words that are similar to your search terms. For example, searching for ‘preventing knee injuries’ will also search for ‘knee injury prevention’ within the text of the page.

Advanced search: Further refine your search

If you are unable to find information you are after, or wish to filter your results, you can try the advanced search function. The advanced search function is accessed from a link near the search input box on the search results page or via a link at the bottom of each page.

  1. Type your words/phrase(s) into at least one text box.
  2. If you wish to search only certain areas of the site, or get a specific type of content, you select the appropriate boxes.
  3. You can also search for the most recently updated content, sort your results, or choose the number of search results displayed on a page.
  4. Click Search to display the results.
