Co-investment grant trial for healthier and safer workplaces goes national

Released 13/03/2018

We worked with businesses to develop co-investment grant offers to improve workplace health and safety outcomes in the healthcare and construction sectors.

Who we talked to

We held workshops and interviews with employers and workers around the country. They helped us to understand:

  • their current realities
  • key needs
  • how we can do things better to create safer and healthier workplaces.

What we’re offering

We’re now offering co-investment grants to all small to medium businesses in the healthcare and construction sectors. These are business with between six to 99 employees.

We’re  offering to contribute:

  • 50% of the cost (up to a maximum) for selected aid equipment for businesses in the healthcare sector, or
  • 50% of the cost (up to a maximum) for  CSC Managing Safely training for businesses in the construction sector.

Positive feedback

We started testing the grants in November 2017 and have received very positive feedback from businesses:

“This is an amazing offer from ACC during an uncertain time in residential care”

“That is wonderful news! This piece of equipment is going to be so very helpful to many residents and the grant certainly makes it possible.”

“We are delighted with the opportunity to apply for this grant, our grateful thanks.”
