Engaging with our sensitive claims clients for better outcomes

Released 05/07/2022

As part of our efforts to evolve the delivery of our services for survivors of sexual violence through the Integrated Services for Sensitive Claims (ISSC), we’ve launched a survey for our ISSC clients.

The intent of this survey is to learn more about our clients’ experiences accessing our sensitive claims services and where they feel the opportunity areas are that ACC should consider. The information from our clients will inform our efforts as part of our ISSC evolution work to strengthen the way we support our sensitive claims clients and ensure the services we deliver meet the needs of our future clients.

The survey was launched on 5 July 2022 and will run until 19 July 2022. It was sent out to a random selection of 2,000 sensitive claim clients who are engaged in longer term support to wellbeing.
A collaborative approach was taken in the design of the survey between the ISSC Evolution team and researchers in our ACC Customer Group. The results of the survey will be used to guide the ISSC evolution programme towards a better and more equitable service for people using our services in the future.

We respect the strength our clients carry through their journeys and understand that some experiences can be difficult to reflect on. Some clients, after undertaking our survey, may feel they need extra support as a result and may approach their treatment provider for additional therapy or support sessions. ACC will pay for up to two additional ISSC sessions related to this survey.
