If you or someone you know has been a victim of sexual abuse or violence, Safe To Talk is a free, confidential 24 hour 7 days a week helpline. It also provides confidential support for anyone worried their behaviour is harming others.

How ACC supports victims of sexual abuse and violence
We play a key role in supporting people dealing with the effects of sexual abuse and assault. We're also increasing our efforts to help to prevent sexual violence.
We want to help reduce the incidence of sexual violence and the huge personal, social and economic impacts that result from it.
Our Find Support service
We've created a fully-funded and immediate service for people who have experienced sexual violence. It also provides support for family and whānau.
Find Support offers up to 14 hours of fully-funded support, without needing to go through the assessment process.
The service focuses on helping you find the support you need following sexual violence, in your time, on your terms.
Healthy relationships – Mates & Dates
Mates & Dates is a healthy relationships programme for secondary school students. Its aim is to reduce sexual and dating violence.
Our programme recognises that preventing sexual and dating violence is about building on the strengths and skills young people already have. It teaches young people the knowledge and skills to engage in safe, healthy and respectful relationships. The programme also focuses on the social and emotional aspects of relationships.
We're investing in Mates & Dates over the next two years to reach all New Zealand secondary schools that want to implement the programme.
