ACC appoints Chief Clinical Officer

Debbie Holdsworth

Dr Debbie Holdsworth has been appointed Chief Clinical Officer, joining ACC on 15 December.

As an experienced health executive in both public and private sectors, Debbie is a leading figure in the planning and funding aspects of the national health care system. A vocationally registered medial practitioner specialising in medical leadership, she has a comprehensive background in healthcare management, encompassing commissioning services and operational management across primary and secondary care.  

Debbie has been at Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora since 2022 where she is currently Director Funding, Community and Mental Health. Prior to that she was Director Funding for both Waitematā and Auckland District Health Boards. She is also the President-Elect of RACMA (Royal Australasian College of Medical Administrators).  

Debbie has a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from University of Auckland where she also undertook postgraduate health management studies.
