Join us at the ACC Rongoā Māori Conference

We’re proud to announce the inaugural ACC Rongoā Māori Conference will take place in Rotorua on 22-23 May 2024.

The event will be a celebration of traditional Māori healing and an opportunity for collaboration to support positive health outcomes for whānau and hapori Māori (Māori communities).

The two-day conference aims to bring together rongoā Māori practitioners and health providers to whakawhanaunga (build relationships) and grow an understanding of traditional Māori healing and its place in Aotearoa New Zealand’s health sector.

“There is considerable interest in rongoā Māori across the sector,” says Eldon Paea, ACC’s Head of Māori Health Partnerships.

“We are pleased to support this opportunity for health professionals to collaborate within te ao rongoā (the rongoā community) to understand how rongoā supports healing and how it can complement other therapies or treatment.”

Working together we will be better placed to support the needs of our kiritaki and whānau in their recovery from injury.

Conference registrations will open in early 2024

Those interested in presenting or hosting sessions, workshops or exhibitor spaces can find out more on the dedicated conference website.
