Andy Milne has been appointed as our Deputy Chief Executive Strategy, Engagement & Planning and will join ACC on 17 October.

The Strategy, Engagement & Planning group within ACC is being established on 4 July and will lead the development and implementation of ACC’s Strategy, through activities that support continuous improvement of ACC and enterprise planning. The Group comprises our strategy and customer insights, enterprise planning, Government engagement, customer engagement and performance and intelligence functions.

Andy will be joining us from the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE), where he is currently the Deputy Secretary Managed Isolation and Quarantine (MIQ). Prior to that Andy was Deputy National Commissioner at the Department of Corrections.

He is originally from the United Kingdom where he had an extensive career in the British police, including as a senior officer investigating fatal road crashes, an experience which makes him particularly passionate about ACC’s Prevention focus.

With Andy’s diverse background and expertise, from strategy development and planning through to crisis management, I know he’ll be great fit for this role, which has a strong focus on joining up strategy with execution and helping ACC make sound decisions and engage effectively. He brings a thoughtful, collaborative approach, which aligns well with how we work at ACC,” ACC Chief Executive Megan Main says.
