July Turnaround Plan report shows continued progress on rehabilitation outcomes
ACC has released its latest Monthly Turnaround Plan Report, showing continued progress in helping injured New Zealanders return to work and independence faster, while improving the long-term sustainability of the Scheme.

The July report shows improvements across all return-to-work measures, reflecting ACC's continued focus on early intervention and proactive case management.
ACC Acting Chief Executive Stewart McRobie says ACC is recording some of its best results in a decade across key rehabilitation performance areas.
The July report shows the long-term claims pool decreased 0.7 percent over the past 12 months. The long-term claims pool is the number of clients who have been receiving weekly compensation for more than one year.
While ACC continues to see strong improvements, ongoing growth in Sensitive Claims is putting pressure on the overall pool and offsetting gains being made elsewhere across the Scheme.
Excluding Sensitive Claims, the long-term claims pool decreased four percent in the 12 months to July, highlighting the impact of ongoing growth in this area.
"Progress reflects the work underway across ACC to better support people with less serious injuries to recover, return to work and regain independence sooner," says McRobie.
"At the same time, we continue to see strong growth in Sensitive Claims, which remains an area of ongoing focus and risk for the Scheme."
ACC's one-year return-to-work rate improved from 92.2 percent in June to 92.4 percent in July. All other return-to-work measures also improved.
McRobie says these results demonstrate how effectively ACC is supporting clients to return to work or independence, and the importance of maintaining a strong rehabilitation focus.
