We help prevent injuries and get New Zealanders and visitors back to everyday life if they’ve had an accident.
ACC is a Crown entity. It's governed by a Board that is responsible to the Minister for ACC. The Chief Executive reports to the Board.
The ACC Board governs how we function. It delegates day-to-day leadership and management to the Chief Executive.
Where there’s a link to our purpose of injury prevention, care or recovery, we support some initiatives in our communities.
Accident compensation has a long history in New Zealand. The Accident Compensation Corporation (ACC) began in 1974 and has continued to evolve ever since.
