Residential Support Services

Residential Support Services (RSS) provides funding for residential care facilities for clients who cannot live independently due to a covered injury.

Types of residential care

Learn about referring clients to residential care, providing care, and making changes to their support.

Interim care

Interim care provides transitional residential support for clients discharged from hospital for a short period.

Short term care

Short term care for clients expected to require support for less than six months. It also covers carer relief to enable a client’s usual caregivers to take a break.

Long term care

Long term residential care is for clients who require more than six months of residential care or permanent residential care due to their covered injury.
