Many New Zealand organisations have found that they have miscalculated leave payments under the Act. To check whether we have been compliant with the Act, ACC undertook a proactive review of our systems and processes, with the support of independent specialists. This work identified that certain leave entitlements were incorrectly calculated, meaning that some current and former employees are due a payment.
