Allied Health Pricing Model Review for Physiotherapy

We have agreed with Physiotherapy New Zealand (PNZ) to co-commission an independent pricing review. Its purpose is to ensure physiotherapy businesses who hold the Allied Health contract are receiving a fair and reasonable price per unit for services. 

The review will aim to understand the range of costs being faced for different provider types and locations e.g. rural provider, versus urban provider, versus small and large nationwide providers. 

A joint working group, made up of four ACC and four PNZ representatives will oversee the review process. Any suggested changes from the review would be subject to ACC Board approval. 

We will continue to provide updates with PNZ as this project progresses.
