Living My Life Service update
Released 03/11/2025
A new Living My Life (LML) Service contract started on 1 November 2025. The service supports our kiritaki (clients) who have experienced long-term and permanent disabilities due to injury.
Key changes include:
- Programme options: There are now two options – short-term (up to 12 months) and longer-term (over 12 months, likely ongoing). There is renewed emphasis on building natural supports and helping our kiritaki (clients) access work where possible to become more independent.
- New purchasing model: Funding is now more transparent, making it easier for suppliers and ACC to track service delivery.
- Clearer service components: The service components and their respective durations have now been clearly defined.
- Enhanced relationship building with clients: More hours are allocated for building relationships, planning, and cultural connection, giving kiritaki more choice and control.
- Focus on outcomes: There are new reporting requirements to measure client outcomes.
We’ve also updated the Operational Guidelines to support clarity and consistency of service delivery.
