New data available on the medical certification dashboard
You can now view the latest trends on our new medical certification dashboard, launched earlier this year. The dashboard provides detailed information on medical certification practice, including the number and ratios of ‘fully unfit’ and ‘fit for selected work’ certificates, average incapacity durations, and return-to-work timeframes. Certifying providers can segment data by injury type, work type, age group, and ethnicity, and compare their practice with others in their region or nationally, for the last three months against the same period a year earlier.
The data that feeds the dashboard is refreshed on a monthly basis, meaning that data for the first three months of 2026 is now available.
The dashboard is accessed via CareSuite, provided by BPAC Clinical Solutions. To access the dashboard, practices will need to register to enable CareSuite at caresuite.co.nz/register.
After a practice submits their registration details, BPAC Clinical Solutions will review and set up access which may take a few days.
We're in the process of enhancing the dashboard by including more options for date ranges and an ability to compare with other peer groups. These should be available later in May.
