What you need to know about residential consumable funding

An important reminder that medical consumables for clients in Residential Support Services (RSS) are generally paid for through the contracted RSS daily rate, which is agreed between ACC and the facility. If a client is receiving ACC-funded RSS this needs to be acknowledged to ensure funding can be allocated correctly. In some cases, this detail has been missed in the order, resulting in ACC funding consumables twice. To prevent this, please ensure the client’s RSS status is recorded when submitting orders.   

Here’s how funding responsibilities are split: 

  • residential facilities are responsible for items on the Standard List

  • ACC is responsible for items on the Specialist List.
