Fetal anticonvulsant syndrome information booklets retired

This week, we retired two ACC information booklets on fetal anticonvulsant syndrome.   

The retired resources are:  

• Benefits and risks of anti-seizure medicines for epilepsy, mental health conditions and pain (ACC7809)  
• Medicines for epilepsy, mental health conditions and pain can harm your unborn baby (ACC7810).  

Over the past year, we’ve worked with the Ministry of Health and Health New Zealand to help ensure key fetal anticonvulsant syndrome prevention messages remain available to providers and the public through a range of trusted channels.   

Providers seeking information about anti-seizure medicines and pregnancy, or fetal anticonvulsant syndrome prevention, can access guidance and resources through:
