Good business starts with accurate records

Released 03/11/2026

We may contact you over the coming months to confirm your organisation’s details. Keeping this information accurate and up to date helps reduce duplication and makes it easier for you to work with us.

Why we’re getting in touch

We know that things can change over time. Business names, ownership arrangements, practice structures, addresses, and contact details may no longer match the information in our systems. In some cases, organisations have also needed more than one ACC vendor ID to support system limitations and previous claiming or payment arrangements. While these arrangements helped at the time, they now create extra administration and will make it harder to work with simpler, more secure digital services in the future.

We’re reviewing and updating provider and business organisation records to improve the quality, accuracy, and consistency of the information we hold.

This work will help us prepare to connect our records with trusted external authoritative sources, including Health New Zealand’s Health Provider Index, Inland Revenue, the New Zealand Business Number register, and associated relevant Companies Office registers. As we start to connect with these sources, we may need to confirm that your organisation’s details are current to ensure we’re working with the correct legal entity.

What to expect

If we need to confirm or update your information, an ACC team member may contact you over the coming months. They'll explain any changes required and support you through the process.
