Register for supplier briefings on High Tech Imaging and Elective Surgery contract tenders
We’re hosting supplier briefing webinars on 11 September 2026 to prepare prospective applicants for the new High Tech Imaging (HTI) and Elective Surgery Services (ESS) contract tenders. The tenders for these contracts will go live on the Government Electronic Tender Service (GETS) website on 15 September 2026.
The new contracts will include clearer service expectations, updated performance measures, and improved reporting to support safe, timely, and high-quality services, while helping to ensure the long-term sustainability of ACC.
These changes are part of our efforts to strengthen how we commission secondary care services to support better recovery outcomes for injured people.
Our procurement approach
For all HTI services, our approach will be an open market Request for Application (RFA). This will include a price-based competitive approach for MRI services (previously referred to as a Request for Quote) in Auckland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, and Canterbury.
For the Elective Surgery Services contract, we’ll use a Request for Application approach.
