Our role
Most people who deal with us do the right thing. When fraud happens, it can affect the fairness of the ACC Scheme and impact the people who genuinely need our support. Preventing and addressing fraud helps protect the long-term sustainability of the Scheme and ensures support is available to those who need it.
The Fraud Prevention & Investigation (FPI) team
The Fraud Prevention & Investigation (FPI) team is a specialist function for preventing and addressing external fraud, misuse, and waste. We use intelligence, data, analysis, and advanced analytics to identify emerging risks, understand patterns and trends, and determine the appropriate response.
Our approach is increasingly focused on prevention and early intervention – identifying risks early and, where we can, stopping fraud before it starts.
