What is the Psychological Services contract?
The Psychological Services contract enables providers to offer support to ACC kiritaki (clients) who require psychological treatment and assessment services to achieve their rehabilitation objectives and maintain their independence.
Psychological Services comprises two components: assessment and treatment. An assessment is conducted to understand kiritaki experiences, identify treatment needs, and diagnose mental injuries. Through an assessment, providers develop an assessment report, which is used by us to make coverage decisions.
Named provider applications for Psychological Services focus on membership, qualifications, and experience, as defined by the Accident Insurance (Counsellor) Regulations Act 1999.
Accident Insurance ("Counsellor") Regulations Act 1999
The Psychological Service contract adds further requirements to ensure the provider can deliver the necessary services. At the time of application, applicants must provide evidence that they meet all requirements.
