Supporting our NZ farmers

Farming is statistically one of the most dangerous industries in New Zealand to work. Together we can support farmers to have a long and healthy career.

Have a hmmm

Together with Safer Farms, we are encouraging farmers to stop and think before getting stuck in – whether they’re working or around the home.

Farmers Jon Pemberton and Emma Crutchley share their top tips that’ll help you keep doing what you love.

Jon and Emma's top tips:

  1. Look after your back
Avoid back and shoulder strain by bending at the knees
  2. Pace yourself
Rushing can lead to accidents and remember, work boots beat gum boots for grip every time
  3. See it, sort it
Seen a potential hazard on a farm? Take action sooner rather than later.
