In my role as a Claims Assessor,
it's important to find solutions.
Behind every file I see a person,
and with my critical thinking,
I'm able to get them a covered decision a lot faster,
so that they can get the support that they need.
My day starts with contacting clients with urgent tasks
or call back requests that they
might've missed call from us.
We assess claims based on the information that they have,
and if there is no information,
we then contact the providers or the clients
to make sure that we can get that information.
In this role, critical thinking is a must,
and we need to be very open with communication.
I did not have a background in health,
and I don't think that you need that
to apply for this role.I think that you just need to be
very curious and open-minded.
I think I've definitely deepened or explored
more of the skills that I had already.
Over the last three years,
I have improved my communication,
as well as really challenged my way of thinking.
